Today is Midsommarafton in Sweden. A day we celebrate with food, dance and flowers. I wanted to wish everyone a happy midsommar. Mine will be different since I am in Paris. Who knows what the day will bring! As much as I’ve embraced the culture of my adopted country, this business of celebrating all holidays the day/night before still feels really unnatural to me. And Midsummer is even more convoluted than most Swedish holidays because they move it to the Saturday closest to the actual summer solstice and then have the party the Friday before.
