When my man gave me an easter egg I looked at him in disbelief as I blurted out "Get that thing out of here! Toss it! Take it to work! Hide it! Do what ever you please as long as get that thing away from me. Do you seriously what me to be fat? Get it out of here." You see I am very frustrated with my pregnancy weight not budging. I lost weight the first 2 weeks after Axel was born but since then nothing! Nooothing. And lately it has stared to get to me. Really get to me. I cannot stand not fitting into my clothes.
So, when I see candy it is like code red. I hear loud sirens, see flashing red lights and a hell of a lot of cellulite. I love chocolate and I have no self discipline. The only way not to devour it is to get it as far away from me as possible. But he did not listen to me. He just left it there on the kitchen table. When I noticed that it was still there I asked, "Do you not want me to be happy? Are you a feeder?" I would usually toss it faster than fast, get it out of reach, but I took it as some kind of challenge. I was determined to keep my hands off it, at least for a few days!
Friday, after a lovely dinner, I snatched up the egg and looked at him with a devilish look as I stared to search it. I grabbed a Kinder Egg and opened it. I shook the toy around in its golden container and then popped it open. I thought that I would find some sort of plastic toy that would end up in the recycling bin... but no! I wish I could have seen my face as I snapped my head up and looked over at Jesper. And then just as quickly back down again since I did not trust my eyes. Yes, there was the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. And then up again. That is when he popped the question and I jumped into his arms.
Can I understand how he kept his cool all week? No! Was he scared that I was going to throw it away? Yes! Do I feel bad for screaming obscenities at my future hubby? Not at all, he brought home candy! Was I surprised? Yes! Am I happy? Beyond words! xx - Joanna

What a funny story. I totally laughed out load. Don't worry about the weight. It will come off. Just enjoy your son and your engagement!

What a cracker of a way to get engaged. You and your man will dine out on that story for years and years and years!
I am horrified though, at the thought that you may have thrown it away. I guess it would have been a giveaway to see him going through the rubbish piles after that!
Congratulations and best of happiness and long life to you both.

This is one of the greatest engagement stories I've heard. You must have a wonderful man that loves you very much to have put so much effort into planning how he was going to pop the question.
