Hello, I'm Johanna from Today you inspired me. I couldn't have been more delighted when Joanna asked me to guest blog here on simple blueprint while she's enjoying the delightful Spanish sun!
I'd like to share a gorgeous home by UXUS design. The family living here wanted an open, modern space as a reminder of their time living in Europe, still not forgetting the heritage of the home; A 1930's hunting lodge.
I love how the neutral tones & material are interrupted by details of vivid colors every here and there. And I absolutely love the "Dear Ingo" lamp by Moooi, the white painted wood floors & the stunning bedroom floor, the grey Hella Jongerius sofas for Vitra, the house-playing-blocks on the kitchen table, the chairs, the Piet Hein Eek coffe table & dining table, the collection of glass-pieces, the bowl of apples made out of plates...
Oh, I could go on & on.. My favourite room is the office with the bright orange chair and the suspension lamps with the golden inside! And my absolute favourite furniture in this interior must be the fantastic Leslie Oschman vintage chair by the dining table. Aren't they just stunning with its countryside prints!?
I find these words from yatzer, were I found this home, very well said:
"The invigorating energy throughout this area is solely based in the essential beauty found in simple things: the openness, the personality and the playful sophistication."
This home is fantastic! I love all the little quirks like the books stacked up to the ceiling and the purple rug

Such a beautiful home! I cannot believe that people actually live that way. I can only dream of it.
