I'm Joanna, a Swedish American Art Director, Stylist and world traveler living in Stockholm. I launched simple blueprint in June 2009. Creating a space where I could catalog all things beautiful. SBP is a goodie box filled with inspiration. I'm obsessed with paper, passionate about type, crazy about magazines, in love with photography, foolishly infatuated with good design, a fashion fanatic and I have a thing for hotels + travel (I dream of opening a spa hotel someday).
With an American father and a Swedish mom, I have moved back and forth across the Atlantic many times. This has allowed me to pick out the best parts of both cultures and expand creatively. I promise to take you along with me when I travel near and far.
For the past seven years I've been running a design studio in Stockholm, Sweden, that develops and manages innovative design solutions for diverse clientele. I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that include: bedding collections, posters, cards, ads, invitations, catalogs and magazines. I have not limited myself to graphics. For the past few years, I have also styled fashion and still life shoots, as well as played photographer.
I love to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment or two. If you would like to work with me, have a suggestion or you just want to say hi, you can reach me at [email protected]
OTHER THINGS I LOVE: my amazing son Axel & my super cute dog Brooklyn, the color green, surfing, chocolate, my hubby to be, jumping into the sea, running, Jack Johnson, scarfs, sweating in a sauna, shopping, being a godmother, dancing, tea, magazines, baking bread and scones, flowers, organizing, scrabble, planing a vacation, skiing, the Maldives, singing in the car, sushi, sneakers, smoothies, boots and being at home.
What a great blog! It is a pity that I can not find RRS address. If RRS offers a subscription service, I can easily follow your blog!

Hi Joanna
I just wanted you to know how much I love your blog. I have been following simpleblueprint for a while now and I am inspired by it regularly.
I (along with two friends) have recently launched our own on-line magazine - covet garden - and I'd love you to take a look. I hope you enjoy our work half as much as I enjoy all you do.
With much admiration and respect,
Lynda Felton

What a nice blog. I hope you post more often as I love to see creative thoughts and ideas.
Your Stockholm page is a wonderful page--I am inspired to create one for my own city in my blog (as soon as I learn how to add pages, etc). I will also be visiting your city next month on a Baltic Cruise and this is helpful. Ah another idea--why not a page on a DIY shore excursion from the port? I know that lots of people search for that, and it would be very helpful.
Meanwhile, will be stopping by now and then. Thanks for your comment on BYW, I found you!
:)

Hi Joanna,
I absolutely adore the picture of the white wedding skirt with the t-shirt and black belt that is posted on Pinterest. When clicking on the picture it brought me to your site, and from there I was directed to a site that is not written in English. I wondered if you could possibly provide any information on how or where I could purchase this skirt. Do you know the price? Any information you could pass along would be great. Thank you!
